SteamShards (current working title) is a cooperative, voxel-based city-building game with followers, deep crafting, steam-age contraptions, and invading hordes.
The engine uses custom geometry and shaders built within the Unity platform, which we chose so that we could support Windows, Mac, and Linux ports. Eventually we’re looking to distribute through Steam.
The game is being developed primarily by me, PixelWight (aka Andrew), along with some help from some local programmers. I’m currently on the project full-time, and I’d like to remain so. Check out the coming KickStarter to see about helping this game become reality — sooner rather than later.
For now, the project is still in Alpha. We’re planning on doing a Kickstarter soon; you’ll see a post here when the campaign goes live!
